Female participation in STEM fields remains low, especially in computing. The Mermãs Digitais project, from IFMA – Imperatriz Campus, in partnership with the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), seeks to reverse this scenario through workshops, talks, and robotics challenges. The Mermãs Digitais Robotics Challenge encourages girls to explore programming, electronics, and collaboration. This article presents an experience report on organizing and running the event, highlighting its impacts. The results show increased interest among participants, demonstrating robotics as an effective tool for female inclusion in computing.
